1. Uganda Post Ltd (UPL) has allocated funds for the development of a Logistics Hub at Clock Tower Post office on Plot 9B – 11B Nsambya Road. In line with its objectives that includes among others providing real estate facilities to general public and contributing to the economic development of Uganda, UPL identifies and implements profitable real estate developments as part of its investment portfolio.

UPL desires to refurbish and develop commercial complex to a modern business complex comprising one (01) no. floor with a total built-up area of approximately 1,728m². The redevelopment is envisioned as a land mark identifying UPL as a brand, attracting viable tenancy mix of shops, offices and restaurant space. It will have a surface parking capacity of approximately sixty (60) cars that is consistent with the size and tenancy mix of the building. The critical goal is to incorporate a modern, bespoke integrated facility that will attract maximum tenancy occupation targets.

The finishes of the building is envisioned to achieve a premier commercial complex in Kampala City, which will be environmentally sustainable, with low maintenance cost considerations, and place particular attention to efficient rentable space

1. UPL now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for provision of the construction services of a contractor to conceptualise the ideal development of a Logistics Hub at Clock Tower Post office as shown on the architectural & engineering designs.
2. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the Government of Uganda’s PPDA Act 2003 and is open to all eligible national and resident providers.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(a) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
4. The Bidding Documents are in English. They may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 8(a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 200,000 (Uganda Shillings: Two Hundred Thousand Shillings only). The method of payment will be direct cash deposit to the UPL Bank Account number 3100018344 at CENTENARY BANK. The bidder will be required to submit the bank slip to UPL Cashier on 1^st Floor, GPO Building, plot 35, Kampala Road who will issue the receipt as a confirmation of payment of funds.
5. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(a) at or before 2/08/2023 at 11:00AM (local time). All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 40,000,000/= (Uganda Shillings; Forty Million Only). Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8(b) on 2/08/2023 at 11:30AM.
6. There shall be a pre – bid meeting and site visit on 19/07/2023 at 11:00 AM. Attendance of the Pre-bid meeting/site visit is mandatory for all bidders.
