Bid Notice: Supply of Motor Cycles

Standard Invitation to Bidders

BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN INTERNATIONAL BIDDING

SUPPLY OF SEVENTY (70) UNITS BRAND NEW MOTOR CYCLES – POU/SPLS/2023-24/00001

1. Uganda Post Ltd (Trading as Posta Uganda) is a government–owned company that offers a wide range of postal, courier, logistics and financial services through more than 300 post offices in Uganda and a number of reputable alliances world-wide. The entity in conjunction with Universal Postal Union (UPU) has allocated funds to be used for provision of seventy (70) units brand new motor cycles.
2. The Entity now invites sealed bids from eligible and reputable bidders for the provision of the above supplies.
3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open International Bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 9:00am-4:00pm
5. The Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX200,000/=. The method of payment will be direct cash deposit to the UPL Bank Account number 3100018344 at CENTENARY BANK. The bidder will be required to submit the bank slip to UPL Cashier on 1^st Floor, GPO Building, plot 35, Kampala Road who will issue the receipt as a confirmation of payment of funds.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 7(c) at or before 11:00AM on 23/02/2024. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX20,000,000/= . Bid security must be valid until 28/07/2024. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8(d) at 11:30am on 23/02/2024
